Rating Legend

How to Read the Chemical Matrix

The Industry reference chemical resistance guide [FGRAT p.19] rates each resin against each chemical at its listed concentration and temperature with the following letters.

C — Continuous Exposure

Acceptable for continuous contact at the listed concentration and temperature.

S — Frequent Splash

Acceptable for frequent splashes and spills (not continuous immersion).

I — Infrequent Splash

Acceptable only for infrequent splashes, cleaned immediately after exposure.

N — Not Recommended

Do not use this resin for this chemical under any listed condition.

T — Test Required

Consult the factory; a test coupon on your exact condition is required before selection.

Max Temperature

180°F (82°C) for ZeAll VE and pultruded VEFR; 150°F (66°C) for ZeAll ISO, ZeAll FDA, ZeAll FR and pultruded ISOFR. Never exceed.

Legend and temperature limits transcribed from [FGRAT p.19, §6]. Unlisted chemicals/concentrations: consult Industry reference; test coupons supplied on request.

Chemical Classes

80+ Chemicals — Grouped by Class

Every chemical named in the Industry reference p.19 matrix with its listed concentration and temperature, grouped for quick lookup. The ZeAll VE and ZeAll ISO columns show that each resin is rated in the official matrix; the exact C/S/I/N/T letter for each cell is read from the p.19 matrix because the wide table interleaves columns and must not be re-typed from linear text. Recommended Resin states the selection principle applied by ZeAllgrate engineers. [FGRAT p.19, §6.1]

~80+ chemical entries transcribed from [FGRAT p.19, §6.1]. Per-resin C/S/I/N/T cell letters occupy the original p.19 matrix; the linear extraction interleaves columns, so individual letters are read directly from the source PDF for a specific chemical/resin pair rather than re-typed here. ZeAllgrate engineers provide a written C/S/I/N/T recommendation for your exact chemical list.

Selection Workflow

Resin Selection Workflow

1 · List Every Chemical

Record each chemical by name, concentration, temperature and contact duration (continuous immersion, frequent splash, occasional splash).

2 · Find the Strictest Condition

The resin must satisfy all chemicals — select the requirement that controls. One severe oxidizer can govern the whole system.

3 · Cross-Check Fire & Smoke

Verify ASTM E84 flame spread and smoke-developed limits against the project code; choose ZeAll FR (≤10) or ELS (smoke ≤100) when required.

4 · Select the Resin

ZeAll VE for strong corrosion; ZeAll ISO for general industrial; ZeAll FDA for food contact; ZeAll FR for ultra-low flame spread; ZeAll Super VE for solvents/oxidizers/ClO₂/NaOCl/high temperature.

5 · Verify with Test Coupons

For unlisted chemicals, borderline concentrations or T-rated services, request test coupons and confirm immersion results before procurement.

6 · Respect Temperature Limits

Hard ceiling: 180°F VE / 150°F ISO. Above 180°F, only ZeAll Super VE (to 400°F) with factory confirmation.

Certifications

Food-Grade & Drinking Water Approval

ZeAll FDA — USDA Approvable

Food-grade isophthalic polyester with antimicrobial additive; light gray/green; E84 ≤25. Intended for food & beverage and washdown areas.

NSF/ANSI 61 — VE only

Drinking-water system component certification available on vinyl ester only (hot/cold). All mesh/thicknesses except Ecograte® and 4'×12' Micro-Mesh® panels.

Surface Conductivity (NFPA 77)

Where static control is required: average surface resistivity 2.5×10³–1×10⁶ Ω/lin.ft; resistance to ground <10⁸ Ω; ≥4 grounding attachments at corners.

ZeAll FDA USDA Approvable [FGRAT p.7]; NSF/ANSI 61 on VE only [FGRAT p.3, p.8; DURA p.2]; conductive surface per NFPA 77 (2000 ed.) [FGRAT p.8].
